An Invitation: To Embrace the Energy of Winter on your yoga mat
To honour the season of Winter – naturally a time of hibernation and drawing inwards - we will embrace this in our yoga practice for the morning.
Winter reminds us; as the earth is fallow, the trees are bare, animals hibernate; nature has the wisdom to draw its energy inwards and down into the earth. What can we notice and learn from this as we prepare for the next season, how do we resource ourselves in this quiet, dark time before signs of spring pull us outwards again?
We are invited to slow down. Winter offers us the opportunity to retreat, to care for and repair ourselves.
How can we embrace this energy of ‘wintering’? We will hold this lightly as we arrive at our practice for the morning...
This workshop will encourage you to embrace hibernation; giving yourself permission to let go and unwind.
The aim of this workshop is to offer time and space to come together with other women and embrace a gentle grounding breath led flowing yoga practice. Followed by a long relaxation and yoga nidra (sunggled under blankets), ending with time to “sit and sip” to ground and assimilate before returning to the hustle and demands of the world and daily life.
You will leave feeling rested and restored by the harmony of breath and movement in yoga; a bit like that feeling of having indulged in a warm mug of hot chocolate!
